5A-DII, Regions 2 and 3 are stacked.
Region 2: Aledo, Red Oak, Denton Braswell, Frisco, and Ennis
Region 3: Marshall, Huntsville, A&M Consolidated, FBM, and Manvel
That is a ton of talent vying for a state championship. Whoever wins the trophy will have earned it. I do not know much about Regions 1 and 4. I see Region 4 has Calallen, Brenham, Calhoun, and Pflugerville Weiss. Calallen and Brenham are the usual suspects. Calhoun seems to have a stout squad, and Pfugerville Weiss is a new school with lots of enrollment growth (talent pool). No disrepect to Regions 1 and 4, but I would put my money on a team from Region 2 or 3. How can you overlook Aledo, FBM, or Manvel?
