Looks like a good year shaping up. These guys are something else. Can't wait to see their talent showcased this season.

Need another good run like '99! What a group Burnet had that year, his defense was something to behold and Long new how to dial up his sons number. Reminds me of Richey and Coach Ethride's relationship we always new he could carry us.

Nothing like a father/son combo

Looks like we have several new coaches on staff this coming year. Can anyone tell us anything about them?

Always the sign of a great program. That's what happens, I think there are 4 new ones DC, OL, don't know the others I may not be correct on the two above. I am sure someone who reads this and is involved could give a correct answer.

I know the heat is on them with the recent SB stuff over pay, etc... Hope we don't let the moment slip by because of a lack of spending money on athletics.

any requests for the concession menu??

I'd think boudain balls would sell well, but I'm guessing that would take equipment like fryers that the concession stands don't have. Maybe gumbo. I know I would love to eat supper at the games, but Chick Fil A and pizza doesn't always cut it.

Man, boudain balls would be great. I bet theyd sell out quick if you could find a way to cook them. Maybe work something out with Wheelhouse down the road???

One of the owners who is involved with that group is a PNGAB member, maybe Board Member? I'm certain someone who reads this can contact him. Good idea, never thought about but Mr. Broussard of Pizza Inn did/does the concessions.

I think several items would work from there. The food is really good.

Hope it works out.

I was thinking the same thing about the boudain balls from the Wheelhouse (and they are made with Nick's!! Yum!). That would be great if they could work something out with that (and of course serve them with some ranch).

I don't know how cumbersome it would be, but I bet hamburgers would sell well.
Another idea (that also would include fryers) is cheese sticks
I would also like to see hot chocolate available for the cold games. It seems to be hit or miss sometimes.

thanks for the input. I will see if we can get boudain balls on the menu, maybe one game. We are always open to suggestions, so if you think of something later, feel free to let us know. We are limited since there is no cooking equipment in there and the man power is also limited.

In response to some of the suggestions, we ALWAYS serve pizza from Pizza Inn. Mr Broussard has been very good to both PNG and the Booster Club. According to UIL rules, we are not allowed to feed anyone in the concession stand, including students that work. Mr. Broussard and Chick Fil A have been allowing the kids to eat the leftovers after the games. The Booster Club is NOT charged for the leftover food.

There is always hot chocolate available. Last year during the last home game, we decided to have McAllister's make and sell it for us. Making, selling, and serving several hundred cups takes a lot of manpower. We always try to find the fastest way to serve each customer. Having McAllister's take that duty was a great success.

On another note, I met the new running backs coach, Taylor Byrd, yesterday. He is a former player of Coach Faircloth's at Odessa. Really nice young man. Just married one month ago to a very sweet girl, Alyssa, from Odessa. Coach Faircloth officiated the ceremony. He said he is ready for some Friday night football, especially MCM!

Thanks for the info. On the new coach. New blood is always good. Does anyone know if there are any local coaches left on the staff.

Garza? Maybe from TJ?
I think Bean, Arnaud, Smith, Segura, Stone, Brevell, Schexiender, etc...??? All gone? Or left coaching at the Varsity level.
