8 PNG Indians named to Academic All-State team

This is really what its all about.

Eight Port Neches-Groves Indians football players were named to the Academic All-State team selected by the Texas High School Coaches Association.

Receiver Jack Giblin and defensive back Cole Girouard were named to the first team and Kaid Guilbeaux was selected to the second team.

Linebacker Anthony Anniboli, running back Kody Cropper, kicker Gunnar Nicholson and receivers Evan Achee and Caisen Sullivan were all named honorable mention.

We also had 2 players make the APSE All-State team-- Congrats to Kyle Ardoin, 2nd team lineman and Logan LeJeune, honorable mention defensive back! :clap:

Also a huge congratulations to those who made Academic All-State!! If you attend the Monday night meetings, you know Coach Faircloth likes to brag about how smart his players are.... well, the proof is in the puddin'!

Side note-I did a quick search and found that no other players from any other teams in our district made either of those lists

Congrats to Ardoin and LeJeune.


Not seeing Adam Morse or Caisen Sullivan on that list is really surprising. They were the two best players on the team.

I agree about Adam. His stats were better than the 1st team QB's.

IMO with Morse not included that team selection has minimal credibility.
