Hard to believe that was 27 years ago and those players are pushing 45.

Great team, great times. Success and achievement of sports teams should never be forgotten. Past teams and players are honored at every level of the game.
In recognition of all the greats troughout the decades of PNG football... http://www.pngindians.com/football/history/

Good luck to the 2016 team as they add their own chapter.

A lot of similarities between that team and the one in '99 as far as intensity, the will to win, and just hard-nosed football goes. A group of us actually used to watch that exact highlight video before games to get our minds focused.

Don't see the intensity like that anymore. Haven't seen a mean intense defender since DJ graduated. We have a couple kids that are hard hitters but we have no head hunters like DJ and in the past. More of a finesse defense not aggressive and just down right mean.

Last two games I saw Logan Lejune was bringing the heat.

I'd line up a Morris or LeJeune type of player against any of the past players and expect them to hold their own. Controlled intensity is the name of their game. :helmet:

One of the post game videos showed Morris stopping the runner at the line, wrapping him up and pile driving him into the ground . If that's not intense I don't know what is. :flaming:
