Don't think it's going to happen due to lack of funds. That's what I'm hearing and not concrete. I wish they would play at Reliant again, but who knows.

I can't believe they are not playing any playoff games at Reliant this year. I think its a money maker. Having 4-6 games in one day would prob bring in over 100,000 fans. that doesn't include concession sales on top of ticket sales. Just my opinion. I think their losing money by not having games there.

I have some questions about us playing at the Alamodome next year (2010). Maybe no one on this site can't answer but here goes. I assume that if we play there, the game will be one of our regular scheduled 10 games and not an extra game because that would give us 11 regular season games. Then if we don't play there the following year (2011), we would have to find a 10th game. Since every school would have already entered into 2 year agreements with other schools it could be extremely difficult to find an opening game for 2011.

It IS going to happen. It was voted on the board meeting Tuesday and passed. Also, almost $20,000.00 has been donated plus the gate/concessions will pay for everyone to go. Whopee!!!!!!!!

I'm ready! I just hope Tip Durham gets to announce some, at least half time. He has been with us at Rice, UH, AggieLand, SFA, the Astrodome, Texas Stadium, and Reliant and my prayer will be that his health holds up for him to be in the press box at the Alamo Dome.

The reason they don't have multiple playoff games at reliant on the same day is because the field is natural grass and it would get torn up. We might see one or two, but I don't recall any played there last year or the year before.

I guess this is fine, but over the years I've gotten sick of the metroplex area thinking they are better than the southern half of Texas. I hope we play for state at Reliant.

I read that somewhere but I don't remember where. I remember that it also said that we would set some sort of record. The record would be for schools that are the farthest apart meeting during the regular season.

Someone should check and see if there is a record for a team playing in all the major sports facilities in the state. PNG has played in the Astrodome, Texas Stadium, Reliant, and now the AlamoDome. That really would only leave the new Dallas Cowboy stadium.

At the first of this season when they had 5 HS games at the Alamodome, there were some teams from out-of-state. I know one was from California. So maybe the record you are talking about would be for Texas HS teams.

California is closer to El Paso than Port Neches is to El Paso.
