If you get a chance, read the online edition of the Beaumont Enterprise (Aug. 24, 2011). Find the story about the costs of high school sports. It is not surprising that PN-G football pays for itself and turns a profit. It is surprising to read the number of area schools that are unable to break even or turn a profit. Once again, PN-GISD is a leader and not a follower. PN-G fans, parents, administrators, teachers, alumni, and the communities of Port Neches and Groves, including local businesses supporting PN-GISD, are to be applauded for continuously putting the kids, teachers, and programs first.

Add to the fact that PN-G has a generous Booster Club, Band Action Group, PTA, other fundraising groups, and a fan base like no other in Texas, and you have a premier ISD.
