Bertrand receives most votes for Player of the Week

Port Neches-Groves running back Chase Bertrand received the most votes for the Beaumont Enterprise Southeast Texas Player of the Week.

Bertrand rushed 29 times for 177 yards and two touchdowns in PN-G’s 39-35 win over Little Cypress-Mauriceville.

Bertrand is the only running back PN-G uses.

Central’s Damon Heard finished second in the voting. Heard’s speed was too much for Vidor as he finished with 211 yards on 23 carries and a touchdown.
