Are the meetings open to the public?? The original post said "members only", but I'd like to check it out

:clap:carzan said:At the meeting Brad Bailey just went over a few things that had been accomplished this past year and gave some insight as to upcoming plans for the next twelve months. I wanted to let everyone know that the emphasis of the booster club is to help all of the different sports at PNG!!! Here is a small list of some of the Items the booster club has purchased or helped with over it's first year of existence:
Floors in the field House
Soccer Nets
Scoring Table for Basketball and Volleyball
Pitching machine for baseball and softball
Softball fence padding
Windsuits for Golf
Canopy and coolers for track and cross country
and many other things.
The bottom line is this, if the club hasn't helped any particular sport it is only because they have not recieved a request from that sport. This is a club for ALL sports within PNG. We are 139 members strong and growing. There will be a membership drive later in the spring and a members golf tournament in early April.
If you are not already a member, I would encourage you to become a member today! The money goes into PNG athletics to help our kids and it is definitely money well spent!

Actually, Faircloth wasn't there, but Dwayne Kroker was. Nothing was said about the schedule during the meeting, but afterwards, I did ask Coach K and he said that (paraphrasing here) "The schedule is out, but I don't have it memorized. But I think it's... San Antonio, Crosby here, Texas City there, off week, open district w/ Livingston here, Ned. there then he wasn't sure about the rest"
Hope this helps.

It is a very important organization that has already done many good things. I think something of need has been purchased for every sport at PN-G at this time. The booster club has done well for its short time in existence. I feel when we find better ways to publicize meetings, and the closer we get to the football season, participation will increase again.
IndianFan said:Simply put, fellow PN-G fans are an enigma. Running this web site and message board over the past 10 years has provided insight into a representative sample.
Football is easily 95% of the interest. Many fans visit, less than 10% participate, and very, very few have ever stepped up and assisted with content, photos, videos, stats, rosters, etc. There are dozens of cameras in the stands but few care enough to share with those of us that aren't at the games. I stopped asking years ago. :-\ I'm afraid that the booster club is experiencing the same. Where is the enthusiasm and appreciation for what many would feel fortunate to have?
