Can Someone Explain...

The play where I guy called for a fair catch on the kick off, got plowed into, got the flag, then the flag was waved off?????
Did i miss anything there?

I was discussing this call at church the next day, and a friend of mine from Ned said that the Nederland player was blocked into the PNG player calling for the fair catch and that is why the flag was waived off. Of course, I disagreed with that explanation because I did not see the Ned player get blocked into our player.
