Did anyone else notice that neither the Port Arthur Blues (no surprise there) NOR the Beaumont Surprise had ANY article on the Central game? I can see it in PA, but what's up with Bmt.? Are they ashamed of the team or something? AND...at the same time, had a huge color picture of PNG on the front of the Sports section, and another pic inside near the article.

I just found that to be interesting.

they probably just got their locations mixed up (I mean afterall, Beaumont and PortNeches-Groves are only minutes apart) or got confused or had some really really important things to do or ...errr uuuhhh had deadlines to meet or power lunches to attend or ads to catch up on or something Proud..ya know, it's not an easy task running a first rate publication to bring their readers and subscribers the most up to the minute breaking news...

Maybe had something to do with the game being so far from the Triangle. Will have to wait until Wednesday when the PANEWS has the district stats listed to see if Harmon is leading the district.

So according to the Chronicle, Livingston's Quinton Jackson got 92 rushing yards. That means that Harmon now has more yards then the "Still on his Feet Quinton Jackson".

Thanks justafan, I was beginning to think that the info. was top secret. Seriously though, Central had only 132 yds. for the game--they were held in ck. by Livingston.

It's not out of line to say that they would have done the same thing to us had PN-G somehow lost to Ozen and Central had beaten Livingston last night. Is it right? No. Central's still one of the best teams in this area and they don't deserve to be "shunned" just because they had a momentary lapse in judgment, but the managers for those papers don't care about what's right. They care about what sells the most papers, and that means ignoring Central and putting a big ol' picture of the Indians in the sports section.
