Hey Indians, just heard that Coach Terry Cobb passed away last night. Condolences to his family and all us former players. Great coach and even better man.

Sad to hear. He coached defensive ends during the glory years of the 70s. Condolences to his family.

Coaches Doug Ethridge, Butch Troy, Wayne Hooper, Don Bryson, Roy Esquivel and Terry Cobb now gone.

Coaches Bruce Bush and Greg Davis are still with us.

And unless someone has updated information, coaches Wayne Winn and Ken Clearman are as well. They would be around 90 and 84 respectively.

Rest in peace men. You will not be forgotten.

Coach Hooper taught me biology. I had Coach Cobb for World History and study hall. He coached DEs on the football team, and he was the HC for boys track and field. I never heard Coach Cobb say a curse/swear word. He'd raise his voice to get your attention, but he never used inappropriate language. He was a man's man, a man of high character. RIP, Coach Cobb. Peace be with you.

I love that man. I had the great opportunity to coach with him for over 20 years at PNG. Coach Cobb helped me learn how to be a good coach and a good man. Coach Cobb led a group of men in the Vietnam War, taught History, coached defensive ends, was the Head track coach and ran the summer recreation program for many years. Coach was able to influence a lot of young people. He once told me that yelling at the kids was easy but coaching technique was the challenge that would help any student playing sports. I was able to see him often this last football season because my granddaughter is an Indianette. I am happy that the last game I saw him at I gave him a big bear hug.
