Nederland get beat by 6 point after being behind 21. With the help of an onside kick and a couple of 2-points conversions, Nederland get within a TD of Crosby - final score 35-29. All Crosby scores by RB Evans.
Good season neighbor! See you next year.

This just in. Dayton 28 Vidor 14. Good season Vidor, see you next year.

Re: Crosby beats Nederland

Thanks Old Eagle, it was a heart breaking loss for sure. But considering how our season started, with all the injuries (not making excuses...just stating fact) and going through multiple QB's I for one am very very proud of our kids' effort and heart. Being down by 3 TD's and then coming within 6 shows the determination these young men have. I really thought that we were gonna take it in the last 2 minutes, but they got the best of us on this day.

Good luck to the Indians thru the playoffs...go deep...stay healthy...show your upcoming playoff opponents that PNG football is back...and is for real! :rocks:

Too bad Dogs. I really wanted to see along run for ya!

I was, too.

It's nice to see a team that had so many difficulties come back and make it to the playoffs. Even with the injuries, Nederland has a lot to be proud of this year.

Yankeedawg, what's happening with the Nederland fans? Maybe 2,000 Bulldof fans, 2,500 tops attended the game on a Saturday.

I hated to see Nederland lose Saturday and hated seeing those big boys crying. The fans from what my friend says have not being going out to watch Nederland play. That is a crying shame. I sat proudly Saturday in my purple shirt around a bunch of people barking and thinking this is weird. To be sitting at a game and having purple all around me and not hearing Cherokee played. I told my daughter that I just couldn't cheer for Nederland, but you know what I wanted those boys to win and I did cheer for them. There fans weren't or at least at first they weren't. In the 4th quarter when the team was finally coming alive except for a key player that gave up on his team, I got goose bumps several times thinking they were going to come back and win. It wasn't meant to be and I hate it for those kids but I know that PNG will have a few extra fans in our stands wearing their black and gold and cheering on the NDNS. At the end of the game when we were leaving we were stopped several times by Bulldog fans thanking us for coming to cheer them on. I told them I wouldn't have missed it for the world. Congrats to the Bulldogs because those boys played their hearts out in the second half.

I honestly don't know IndianFan. I'm embarrassed :-[ to say that I did not attend the game Saturday due to medical issues. As for the others...beats me. Loss of interest?? other obligations ?? hunting ?? I really don't know.

I did watch the entire game on the video feed on computer from PAN. and all I can say is I wish to hedoublell that I did go. That 4th qtr alone was would have been worth the ride feeling like crud.

The 4th quarter was some AWESOME football. Nederland has this WHOOOOOO crew and all they do is SCREAM WHOOOOOOO the whole time. They sat right in front of me and I thought I was at a PNG game. Those poor boys though need to get older because they all had headaches from cheering so much that I had to give them all some Ibuprofen.
