DCTF 5A playoff projections

Interesting. Best of luck to all 22-5A teams that make the playoff cut. I think Memorial and PN-G can make some noise this year. Vidor too if they can figure out a way to keep the run productive for 4 quarters.

Interesting that they project nederland over Livingston.

If both go 1-1, which is a good possibilty, Livingston has the tiebreaker with the 1-0 win over nederland.

But then that would put png in D1.

All speculation and WAGs...

I dont think it'll matter this yr, D1 is just as tough as D2 to me. It just sucks to end up playing Manvel 1st or 2nd round. I'd rather face them 4th round and hope they'll be beating up a little by then.

Port Arthur is a talented team. If the Titans get a more solid game out of the QB, they'll be tough to stop. And the defense is top notch.

appreciate it. Png is very good as well, just wish the big WR was consistent, him and Johnson should be toying around with defenses from here on out til they face a toughie in the playoffs.

After watching PAM v. PN-G, I think PAM has a shot to make a deep run in the playoffs. #25 is a game changer. I'd do everything possible to put the ball in his hands in open space because he knows where the end zone is located and he can get there in a hurry. The PAM defense is the fastest group I've seen in a long time. The DL can hold their own at the line of scrimmage and the LBs are fast, very fast. PAM fans always knock their QB...but all the young man needs to do is manage the game, protect the ball, and make a few throws to keep defenses from loading up to stop #25. I would find ways to get the ball to #25 in the open field and let him do his thing. #25 + a legit defense = good shot at playoff wins.

For PN-G, we just need to protect the football and get it to our playmakers #2, 5, 6, 10, 11, et al. Maybe in the playoffs, we can spice things up and give the ball to #22 and #26...find a way to get as many playmakers on the field as possible. On defense, just keep grinding. Bend and do not break. Avoid giving up the big play...just make teams march the field. If they do that, then we can live with the result and get ready for the next series. Don't give up cheap points and keep playing hard like you have done all season. I've enjoyed watching this year's defense...they just keep playing...good play, bad play, it doesn't matter, they just keep coming strong. #3, 4, 7, 17, 22, 26, 32, 34, 47, 48, and the big guy in the middle #68.

I hope 22-5A has a good run in the playoffs with PN-G, PAM, Vidor and Nederland/Livingston/Central.

Go Indians. Peace.

If Vidor goes, wouldn't it be PAM (still a girl's name) and VHS D-1?

You may be right on that. PNG might be smaller than Vidor HS now.
Png is about 40 students bigger than Vidor. If yall dont wanna be D1 pray for Nederland.

some knock him, and they do it because their spoiled from the 3 previous QBs we have had. I think he's doing a great job this yr compared to his Soph year, his Jr yr he was hurt half the season but I saw a change then in his passing and staying in the pocket.

Yalls QB already performs like a senior veteran for only being a Soph, keep him healthy.

I think 22-5A has a great shot at going 3-1, I dont believe New Caney loses 1st round and will set up a matchup with that beast called Manvel.
