are they ever gonna hire a good defensive coordinator ?
Did the current DC come from Allen?are they ever gonna hire a good defensive coordinator ?
They could hire he best DC in the nation and it wouldn’t matter. If he’s not aloud to put the best 11 there is on that side then it’s a wash. Fairclothe doesn’t allow kids to go both ways. He picks his kids for offense and lets the DC choose from the rest. His philosophy is to get in a track meet and if his defense can stop the other offense just one more time then the other team we win. No one can say that nobody now day emphasizes defense. I watched all the state championships last year and every 4A, 5A, & 6A team that played had kids playing both ways. That’s why the teams you see in those rounds pretty much every year are there. They care about both sides of the ball and even put starters on Special Teams. When you start getting in to track meets with teams it becomes a crap shoot. Your offense is not always going to operate on all cylinders, and it showed heavily this year, and you are the team that gets stopped that one are more times then the other offense.are they ever gonna hire a good defensive coordinator ?
yes they have to go both ways because we dont have enough players to do thatThey could hire he best DC in the nation and it wouldn’t matter. There are exceptions. Koby Trahan would have been the best running back on the team his junior season. Might have had a tremendous year like this season and that could have been the difference in having a more balanced offense and more wins last year. But he started at linebacker and was all-district in that position. They could hire he best DC in the nation and it wouldn’t matter. I agree Trahan would have done very well at RB last year. But they put him on defense because Fairclothe preferred Vaughan to be the RB. Koby did run some when Vaughan was hurt but that is why Trahan was at LB. It wasn’t to beef the defense up. They just took a shot and it worked for the better. If RJ wasn’t there a few years ago Austin Bost would have never seen defense. We all know that that was blessing for both sides of the ball. Yea we have some good players on defense. But if they were allowed to play both ways. Half the defense would not be out there. There are exceptions. Koby Trahan would have been the best running back on the team his junior season. Unless you've been a football coach and know, coaching a football team is more complex that any of us imagine. It's easy for us to speculate when we often have no idea what challenges a coach deals with.
