Wilson was on defense, sorry, realized my error when I hit the button to post. Yes, I do know the difference between offense and defense.

Ummm, crap Squaw. You are really making me rack my brain. What position did your son play? I can not remember everybody. Let's see on the 76-77 team I know Ted Brack, on the 77-78 team (still thinking) and the 78-79 team I know, David McReynolds. Did I get an A and a gold star?

Who played LB on these teams?

Chris Plaia was one of them.

If I was not so lazy, I would go out in the storage shed in the backyard and get all my high school stuff out. With that I would be able to tell you what position everyone played for all those years. Memory is not what it use to be. :eek:ld: Heck I was surprise I had and knew that much information.

Did Chris play LB? I though he did, but I was not 100% sure.

Yes, he was a linebacker. I am trying to remember who the others were. I'm not sure if Chris played in the 76-77 season, he might have, like you said it has been too long ago to remember.

Plaia was a starting outside LB on the '77 team. He was a junior in 1977.

1977 - Brack and Shane McWhorter on the inside. Plaia and Mitch Carter were on the outside.
1976 - Brack and Jeff Decuir were the starting inside LBs. Tony Hollier and James Shipley were the chief and brave.

Man, I should have remembered Shane McWhorter. Duh?!?! Dumb me. Shane was raised down the street from me. Like I said, memory is not like it use to be. :eek:ld:

Meant to say Plaia started in '77 and '78.

I get confused because Chris graduated in 79, but I forget that the football season is in the year before...... ;D

I sure do miss him.... :(

Another 1st Team Parade All-American's to come from the Reservation. Keith Waguespack.

Keith was the placekicker for the 89-90 & 90-91 teams under Danny Malone. He went on to play at Texas A&M.

QB: Richy Ethridge (stats and state championship hardware are all the proof needed); Dustin Long (stats and the '99 state run)
RB: Justin Eicher (the toughest RB to ever wear purple and white); Jeff Bergeron, Sr. (he's all over the record books)
TE: Kyle Aguillard (not many 6'6" 225lbs TEs who can block, catch, and run well residing in Port Neches or Groves)
OL: Very difficult to narrow down the list of names for the OL ... there are many great OL from PN-G
WR: Joey Price ... hmmm need to check the stats to see who's next in line; maybe the Colburn twins

Go Indians. Peace.

My first post here.

If someone doesn't mention Jeff Bergeron I'm going to have a conniption fit! So I'll save myself the trouble!

Bergeron was the #1 rated HS RB in America his senior year. #2 was a guy named Tony Dorsett. I think this was by Parade ... not sure. Also know that The Jet was way sub 10 seconds in the 100.

He was also pressed into defensive service against Lincoln and the great Joe Washington Jr. Saw him catch Little Joe within 30 yards with Washington having a good 5-7 yard lead. This was Bergerons Jr. season.
