I agree, Nederland has a shot at knocking off FBM. Control the ball with a strong run game, avoid turnovers, and play good defense. PN-G demonstrated the formula to beat the Buffs. FBM is a paper tiger. The Buffs will make some plays, but they are not the Goliath that they were when RJ was leading the Indians. Then again, maybe PN-G lit a fire underneath the Buffs because they crushed a decent Montgomery team. FMB jumped on them early and the Buffs kept their foot on the gas during the second half. If Nederland can do what the Indians did by controlling the clock and tempo of the game, and just go hit the Buffs square-up, they should have a shot. I'm still queasy in my stomach...the Indians had a great shot to win the game. If we would have just stuck with the QB RPO/run game, Bost was gashing the Buffs. The Indians OL was staying on their blocks and moving the Buffs off the line of scrimmage. And, the PN-G defense finally came to play. They were lights out. They hit the Buffs, hit them again, and hit them again. If Nederland puts forth that type of effort, the Bulldogs will have a great shot at winning the game. I hope they do it. I'd like the State of Texas to see that SE TX plays some good football in Region III. Crosby and Nederland have a shot at winning Region III.
Go Indians. Peace.
