Lebouf. Leborde. Hawthorne. Wooster. Ball. Great local players. We played against Davod Hodges with Brazozport in the 70s playoffs. Was lucky enough to be in a card group with Wooster. Bill Bradley and Lance Vanzant when Bill "Palastine Rocket" coached at LU. Stories unreal from Lance a guy who coached - at Cardinals. Saints. Nebraska. Alabama. Kansas State. A&M Oklahoma State. Texas Tech - TJ & Barbers Hill at the end

Bill was all state in like 3 or 4 sports

My grandfather has told me many stories about LeBoeuf and LeBorde I think it is. The Flying Frenchmen he called them.

Met a guy recently from Garland he still remembers the PNG games in the 50s and how good the RBs were from PNG told very vivid stories like it was yesterday. That’s something for a 60 something non football player to remember that means it left a huge impression. A while back I was speaking in general terms here in Houston about “the team I follow” this lady said “that sounds like the PNG Indians” I said yes. She said “we used to love going to PNG games when they were here”
