Let’s celebrate the birth of the greatest nation on the earth today and over the weekend.

Despite any shortcomings or past discretions, which all nations have and will continue to experience due to the inherent flaws of humanity, this is the greatest land of freedom and opportunity on the planet. A place where all mankind can pull themselves up by the bootstraps and achieve success beyond their wildest dreams if they possess the character, skill and wherewithal to make it happen.

The United States is the only nation in the world that was created on a set of principles, presented as self-evident truths. These are spelled out in the Declaration of Independence and protected by the Constitution.

The universal appeal of these founding principles means that anyone, from anywhere in the world, who pledges to these principles can become an American. In President Abraham Lincoln's words, whoever does this has "a right to claim it as though they were blood of the blood, and flesh of the flesh of the men who wrote that Declaration."

Every man or woman has these freedoms in front of them today. Whether or not they choose to pursue them and do what’s required to achieve success is up to each individual. Personal accountability to practice a law abiding, responsible, honorable and productive life is a basic requirement to achieve respect and success. Excuses or blame of others won’t make up for that.

looks like the Redskins are really going to change their name. Hopefully it will retain native implications and not be the “war hawks” “redhawks” etc. doubtful. Sad IMO although I get the problem with “redskins” probably go the way of the WashingtonBullets childish WIZARDS I’m sure it’ll be some fantasy based BS name.
