Lots of factors affect wins, losses and scores, so they're not necessarily valid comparisons. They're just numbers but not unlike polls, they're good for conversation.

At his current pace Faircloth will be the winningest coach in PN-G history in either 2020 or 2021. He's tied with Ethridge and needs 9 wins to surpass Burnett. If he reaches 96 or more next season he'll have achieved that several years sooner than MB. We are living in good times for Indian Football.

Per the all-time coaching section on www.pngindians.com, Coach Watson had some strong numbers. He gets overlooked when discussing PN-G greats. In nine seasons, 1965-1972, he coached 81 games. He won 73% of his games, he never lost to Nederland, he was 3-4-1 vs. Port Arthur Thomas Jefferson, he won a DC when only one team per district made the playoffs, he never had a losing season as the Chief of PN-G football, and his offenses lit up the record books. Looking at the defensive numbers, his defenses were good, too. He had some great players and he won a lot of games. The history section at www.pngindians.com makes you think about some great coaches that came through PN-G.

Not too shabby when you beat your opponent by 10 points per game, you rack up 102 wins in 13 seasons, and the program is one of the smaller enrollments to compete in 5A-D2. On top of that, you run a clean program and you have a well-rounded boys' athletic program. Renew the man's contract.

Excellent point. Faircloth is in good company of PN-G coaches whose teams won by 10+ points per game. They are the best of the best.

McCollum +15
Watson +14
Ford +12
Ethridge +11
Faircloth +10
