Yeah I was wondering the same thing ! anyone out there ! Hello Hello (echo) Things will pick up after the New Year. Off season starts this Monday for the boys. Sounds like to me from my son that this off season they are gonna jump it up a few more notches ! I'm curious if Coach Faircloth is gonna change up the O some to suit Miller as QB ? any thoughts ?

Also I Have been doing alot of research and making calls for off season camps for my son. He is a D line player. Coach Arnaud and I talked briefly and he is gonna send info home with my son about some camps he wants the D line to attend this summer. My son told me he hopes that the D line can attend several camps as a group. I told him that would be a great Idea. That is of course if its financially agreeable. Most of the camps that actually work with the player instead of just going, getting a t-shirt and a few pics cost around $350-$700.00 dollars. These are usually 3-7 day camps. They even have some live action full pad camps in the mid-west. A&M supposedly has a good D line camp, and then there are numerous private camps all over TX and LA. They now have position specific camps all over the place. Its just a matter of finding a camp that actually has a good teaching and skills coaching. Not a come and see our campus thing.

The camps you are discribing about taking the money sound just like softball camps. They actually charge for camps that are set-up in a tryout theme. It is a shame that these colleges are making money off the girls like they are. The coaches go to these tournaments, meet the girls and parents, act like they are soooo interested in having daughter on college team. They will send emails requesting you attend their camp. After months of emails and camps, the coach either says she is no longer interested, quits communicating, or offers a minimal scholarship money.

Do the girls learn anything new skills? No. Do they even have one on one time with a coach? No. Do they get a t-shirt? Oh heck yeah, just so they can advertise for that school!

Yeah I understand your frustration. There is one camp for football that wants me to bring my son too this summer. but its a football combine for Juniors for scouts to take a look at em. Sad thing is they charge you $750.00 dollars to attend so he can run his 40 times, and other drills. No training. Just showing off for recruiters, and you have to pay for it. Sad. Oh and you get a t-shirt ! yee haw NOT ! I have told several coaches that when they begin getting in the different camp flyers to let me know which one they would prefer the players to attend. I want a teaching and hands on camp, not a t-shirt camp. Something that will make him a better player and learn something that he can use. A camp were they go thru the drills and critique each boy and show em how to do it right. I have 2 daughters in Softball and I know what you mean. They have been to a few softball camps and I was very disappointed. Stand around and hear a raw raw speech and they throw the ball around, hit a few times and run the bases. No different than a try out for a team in my opinion.
