Home field advantage!

This Friday night our fans need to start showing the same enthusiasm as our first game this season. The cheerleader's,band, and indianettes need to help get the crowd motivated. Lately, it seems as if our football player's are having to beg us to make some noise. Every 3rd down when we are on defense our crowd needs to be up hollaring defense or just making some noise. Most people don't start to make any noise until we do something good. Our team gets fired up when the crowd is making noise, this could be what we need to pull out a tough game this week. We need to make our field a true homefield advantage. It is tough on other offenses when our crowd is making a lot of noise. So I'm making this a challenge beginning Friday night to make the most noise throughout the entire 4 quarter's and the rest of the season. Go get'em INDIANS!!

Really? It seems as though things have been very enthusiastic on our end - much more so than previous years.

We need to respond as we did during the overtime period with Texas City. That was awesome! I think most of our fans know enough about football to know when to cheer. I have found that sometimes people want to stand and cheer but don't want to be the first to do it. So if you stand and do it, they will follow plus the ones behind you have to stand to see.

I stand up and yell so much it ticks off the girls behind me! Can't help it though, the Indians have given me a LOT to holler about this year! The refs have given me a few occasions to jump outa my seat too!

That was electric. I've never seen a group of people that fired up before. If we mix a little of that spirit and intensity in with the rest of our games, there'll be no stopping the Indians this year.

All I can say is look up under the words PRIDE on the pressbox about rows 44-46 on the 50 yard line and you will see people standing up cheering ALL night long. :rocks: :rocks: :rocks: :rocks: :rocks:

Bandkid, It has been very mild to say the least on the opposite side of the band. Section F with the exception of late in close games and the Nederland game has been a dead zone. It seems to be more of a social gathering than football fans. I stand and clap on third downs when we are on Defense and look around and it appears as though me and my buddies right behind me are the only ones standing. This is not the way it was 10 years ago! I never left a game back then not feeling worn out and horse!

I think that everyone will be ready. Some of you obviously didn't go to the Livingston game. For a smaller crowd, there was a different feel to that game. Brave souls that endured the weather were very vocal and became part of the game. It was pretty cool to see that.

It'll come back. Give it some time and let the Indians keep up the momentum, and it'll come back. I've never seen the student body this fired up. The pep rallies are electric, the games are on fire, and it seems as though there is a renewed motivation throughout the school. Just about every morning on the announcements something is said about a PN-G academics team that blew all the other schools out of the water at a competition or a sports team that won a game the previous night or about our band winning "Band of the Week." This district is on its way back to the top (not that we were ever too far away) and you can certainly tell it when walking around the school. Everyone is doing something to contribute. I'm seeing kids who've never worn anything purple in their lifetimes put on something school-related on Fridays.

For the first time since elementary school, I think every student I call a "classmate" is proud to be called an Indian.

I'm constantly trying to get the crowd involved to no avail. I sit right next to the band and at times I see the enthusiasm but I am talking about 4 quarters of madness. Bandkid spread the word to everyone you can, more noise!

Let's make this one rowdy homecoming that the pirate's will not want to remember. I don't want to be able to hear Vidor's band or crowd all night. Nothing but rowdy Indian faithful!

I am resting my voice so I can scream for all 4 quarters.
Me, too! BTW, I shared my concerns about not hearing the band with some board members and they are supposed to see about getting us some microphones so we can hear, also. I am like you, Cheermom, I yell like crazy----and I'm ready to rumble with the Indians! lol

Bandkid, I believe you got the message out. Great job band, indianettes, cheerleaders, and the crowd. Our boys played inspired football and I believe the crowd had a little to do with it. Great job to all INDIANS!!
