I-10 Lane Closures

I just saw online that tomorrow night in Chambers County in the Wallisville area there will be some lane closures for restriping on I-10 from 9pm to 5am. Could make for a long trip back. Since I have to go through Nome on the way and taking Hwy 90 to 146 in Dayton, I'm thinking I'll be taking Hwy 90 back also.

I am not sure but I know the Bmt Enterprise said I10 east lanes would be closed Friday night but if you go to the Twitter message they got from the Texas DOT it said that the lanes would be closed TONIGHT from 9pm to 5am (FRIDAY). I think that the Friday pertains only to the 5am time. Hopefully my theory is correct. Might just be wishful thinking.

I'm going on what I read on the Bmt. Enterprise, but I will check the TXDOT website. I have to go thru Nome to pick up my grandson so I'm going that way on the way anyway, depending on what the website says tomorrow, I'll plan my return trip.

Well, if you read it in the Enterprise, it got to be true. Just Kidding. I guess we can check tomorrow for sure.

I don't have access to the website at work anymore....wonder if its due to the fact that our admn is from Nederland..oh well. LOL I just checked the TXDOT website and it says delays but not really anything else.

My little sis (?) works for TXDOT and is going to check with the manager for that project as soon as she gets to her office in the morning and call me. I will then post his info.

GOOD NEWS! The lane closure was last night. I called the Beaumont DOT and they transferred me to the Anahuac office of DOT and they checked and said it was last night. Everyone be careful tonight. GO INDIANS!

My sister also talked with the project manager who said as you did, I-10 WILL NOT closed tonight but there was a fatality there this morning due to fog. Let's all be very careful coming home from roasting some eagles on our was to the state finals.
