...which one should never do, you could probably fill in the question marks below. Don't think of it as a prediction though, but more as a challenge that the Indians may have a chance to overcome :)

Dakari Pearson:1998

Kendall Briles:1999

Quizz Rogers:2007

??:2009

Don't know who to put in for 09, but I can tell you this, in 07 if we had this coaching staff in place I truly believe the game with Lamar Consolidated may have had a different outcome. I know the D would have given Rogers a fit !!! I haven't been following any other running backs outside of our area, so to say who would it be for 09, your guess is as good as mine !

lol....Angleton has a very good running team. They do not throw much. My orangebloods.com membership has finally paid off.

I agree Angleton is stout and will be tuff. But I also worry about the passing teams with a running QB. Think back over the season so far.
Viverette (BH) gave us fits because he could run as well as pass.
TC didn't do sqaut until the second half when the QB began to run with the ball.
Gonzales (LCM) runnning the ball kept us honest and opened up the bubble screen outside.

Now I said all that to say this, Payton Ploch (Dayton) if he is healthy could be our toughest matchup if we make the playoffs!

The only way we get Dayton is if we lose out basically. A win over Ozen / Lumberton ensures us as the top seed from our division in the small school bracket.

If we do make the playoffs, we could see either BH or Crosby again. Question is were would the game be played ? Baytown would be like a BH and Crosby home game, but I know we would have 10 times the fans of either team and Probably combined. Personnally I don't care who the Indians play, I know they will win and win big !!! Something tells me this is gonna be a December team !!!

I agree with you '66. I have felt for some time that this would be a December team. Not trying to get ahead of myself, but the signs have sure been leading that way!!

If you remember the team in 1999 - That team looked kind of ordinary during the regular season and than at the 1st playoff game at PA Memerial Stadium we barely beat Silsbee. BUT after that we looked GOOD all the way to the state championship game. It is hard to play great for 15-16 games in a row.

"It is hard to play great for 15-16 games in a row" I have no doubt that playing for 15-16 games would be tough, but with these men and the coaching staff, it shouldn't be a issue. Injuries and grades would be the issue to contend with that far into the playoffs. I know the coaches would push the team and make sure they were doing right in their grades ! Injuries ? big question on that one, but it is a physical game and injuries do occur. We have been blessed so far as to not have many serious injuries. When a team is coached right and technique is at 100%, injuries are lower. Just keep the team in our prayers to be injury free !!!

He was injured a few weeks ago according to the parents of his locker girl. I have noticed him on the sidelines but not suited up.

Re: 15/16 game season

I agree it is hard, but think of the following teams that did it, and keep in perspective if you were a 2 year letterman you played 14 or 15 games 2 years in a row including spring training and 2 a days before the season.

I be live that contributed to the 76 loss to SA Churchill, if you lettered in 75 & 76 that was our 29th game in 2 years.

74 -14 games
75 -15 games
76 - 14 games
77 -15 games

I hope we can get another 4 year run with Faircloth

The cold contributed heavily to that loss along with the fact that we had key players injured and they could not play. The score was close and we were still proud of them. Also, the fact that all our playoff games were played inside the Astrodome up to that point. SA Churchill had been playing outside and were more used to the weather. It was bitter cold that day. Churchill went on to win the state championship the next week. BTW, we wanted to play in the Dome, but they nixed it. Smart decision on their part. I still think we had the best team.

Totally agree, I was going to list who was hurt but at 51 years of age I couldn't get past Carl and Blake. By the way 75 State Champ reunion this weekend in Rockport.
