Why would he wish to be at PN-G?, his team was playing in the semis when the Indians were done for the year. No need to bash the man because he decided to stay where he was. I think everything worked out for the best for everyone as Faircloth was probably the best fit for PN-G considering what the PN-G program needed and where Faircloth is in his coaching career.

Maybe you forgot how he was bashing PNG after he came here in order to get Calallen to give him a raise? I'm not sorry he's not here--I was being sarcastic. Personally, I dislike anyone who bashes PNG or the Indians; maybe you feel differently and, if so, that's your right.

There's a lot more to the story with Danaher. All I'll say is don't question the man's integrity and assume you know what he was doing or why he did it.

Calallen is one of those Texas schools that has just as much to be proud of as PN-G. They've actually been much more successful in several sports.

There IS reason to claim honor, pride AND tradition outside of the PN and G city limits. ;D

Please elaborate. I don't recall his saying anything negative about PN-G.

I do not recall that he bashed PN-G (source?). Also, the original post was "Bet he wishes he was at PN-G now" which I could not understand considering the success of his team this year. As Indian Fan stated, there is more to the story.

I made the comment because of the things that he (reportedly) said after touring our facilities. And the fact that he came down here "acting" like he was looking for a new job, when he intended to stay in CC all along. Just using PNGISD as a pawn for his pocketbook. In MY book, that's a moron.

BTW, there ARE morons that can coach too. One has nothing to do with the other.

Not that it really matters, but I seem to recall that Danaher was interested in PN-G because he thought that in the long run he had a better chance to break the state record for coaching victories here than at Calallen. The talent at Calallen was supposedly running thin. Also, as I recall, in the end he was embarrassed to leave Calallen since the ISD was naming the stadium for him. I don't ever recall reading that he got a raise to stay in Calallen, although that is certainly possible.

Truth is he WAS interested in the PN-G job. And lost interest because the former coaches acted like disrespectful morons, and the prospect of a certain head coach still being around was a toxic situation.

Indian fan - just curious as to how the coaches acted like morons? Did Lafort, Segura and Arnaud act like morons too? I would guess in many situations the head coach stays around in an other position for a while like Watson, Troy, Stone in BB and Burnett.

Respectfully, could you tell us how you know this to be fact?

Previous coaches as in those not there anymore.

That's all I can say. ;D Point is Danaher is a very good coach who had every reason to be interested in PNG. But that didn't work out. Hindsight, Coach Faircloth was the right choice. Hope he stays arounds for 320+ wins like Danaher has at CCC.
