The local teams competing in 7 on 7 are PNG, WestBrook, Memorial, Ozen and Central. They meet on Tuesday and Thursday at 5:00 PM each week. The next one is Thursday (tomorrow) at The Reservation. Last Tuesday included some JV competition. Here's hoping some more fans can make it Thursday.

Thursday was just PNG and WestBrook. That was a great workout for both teams Varsity and JV. I think it's great for us to be going up against a 5-A team. Next week it will be at Central.

Today (Thursday), it was PNG, WestBrook and Memorial at The Reservation. Miller and A.J. are both looking good. There is a change to next weeks schedule for 7 on 7. They will only play next Thursday at The Reservation against Memorial at 5PM. There were about 70 spectators on hand today. A lot of cheers and clapping for both our Varsity and J.V.

I've attended the last couple at PNG and our offense looks great!!! To go with Nelson we have a couple other tall, fast and good receivers to go with him. Bertrand is a beast. Seen him make a couple great long balls also.
Defense is looking good also. We have held our own with the liked of 5A West Brook and 5A Memorial. We have alot of size in the secondary.

Thanks for the updates. This is good news for a slow summer. There are some who say 7 on 7 means nothing because the kids are running around in underwear and shoes with no pads or coaches, but any time our QBs, RBs, and WRs can line up, throw the football around, work on timing, and compete against other kids going for the same football in the air, then that is a good thing. The PN-G coaches will keep the offense amped up. If the PN-G defense is improved and can cover people, then we will have a good season...and with a little luck, the natural in-season maturity (former FR, SOPH and JV learning to play under the lights on Friday nights), and staying away from injuries, we may have another great season going 3 or more rounds deep in the playoffs. Good coaching, having excellent assistant coaches, and some talent mixed in with hard working kids makes all the difference in the world at the high school level. PN-G has those ingredients.

Go Indians. Peace.

I looked at the state tournament brackets and didn't see us, so I assume we either didn't try to qualify or we did, but didn't make it. I did see that WB made it, but I didn't see PAM or anyone else from our district on there. It was full of teams from up in my neck of the woods in DFW.

PNG WENT TO ONE QUALIFYING TOURNAMENT IN HOUSTON AND LOST OUT TO THREE VERY GOOD TEAMS. FOR THE LAST 6 WEEKS THE INDIANS HAVE PLAYED 2 GAMES ON TUES. AND THURS. AGAINST VERY SPEEDY OZEN,CENTRAL AND WESTBROOK AND A HAVE DONE VERY WELL. MILLER AND RECIEVERS NELSON,CHIPMAN,GUIDRY,HANKS,BERTRAND,WOMACK AND A HOST OF OTHERS HAVE MADE GREAT STRIDES WEEK TO WEEK. DEFENSE LEAD BY(LOUVRE,SIEGLER,SPERL,PEVETO,ROMERO,HOLLIER,HEBERT)IS AHEAD OF THE GAME,KEEPING UP AND SHUTTING DOWN THE SPEEDY OPPONENTS. LOOKS LIKE THE OFFSEASON HAS BEEN VERY GOOD TO THE INDIANS, MAJORITY OF THE PLAYERS LOOK IN GREAT SHAPE.
