It is not taking as long as we thought it would to put PNG back in the ranking as a contender.....Great Job Coaches and Players!!!!

Faircloth and staff - I think they are keepers!!!! Really have proven themselves with coaching style and they are very supportive of all the kids - even ones that don't play football.

One week at a time....

GO INDIANS!!!

Way back when we first learned that Coach Faircloth was chosen to be our new coach, there was dicussion about how long it would take our boys to adapt to the new coaching style and several people, including me, were saying that we should not get our hopes up too much because we thought it would take a while for all this new stuff to sink in, but we were wrong.....

Not doubting that it would be a good staff, just hoping fans would not expect miracles...but miracles never cease....so far so Great!!!!

That is absolutely true. Coach Faircloth was at last year's band banquet and the Spring Concert that immediately followed and every coach that speaks at every pep rally always acknowledges the accomplishments of the other extra-curricular activities.

These guys know how to put the "school" in "school spirit."

We still have a long way to go and have to play way better than we did last night. We play like we did last night and we won't be going anywhere. We have to cut out the mistakes and cheap penalties. Coach on the Tailgate Party said it himself. We have to get better and we have a ways to go.

Agree with this ... the record looks good but we have to be more mistake free to get by the stronger teams.

Yeah, I work with a guy from Lumberton and before school started I was telling him how things were looking good for us this year, and he said he was glad to hear that, but there is no way a suffering program can be turned around in one year! I was like, yes it can, it happened when Danny Malone came in and it WILL happen again this year!

He hasn't said another word about it since...looks like HE was wrong... :ha: :ha:

I think that Coach Faircloth and his Staff are doing a great job with the team. You can't get better than 5 - 0, 2 - 0 dist. I think that sometimes we expect too much of the coaches and team. Have they made mistakes--yes, have they committed penalties--yes, do we want them to score more--yes but that is all in a perfect world. Most PN-G fans would not have expected to be 5 - 0 to start the year--but I am very proud and excited to be un-defeated!! The Best is yet to come!! GREAT JOB COACHES AND PLAYERS!! Thank You for bringing back the excitement to INDIAN NATION!!!

I think attitudes change as quick as the wind can change....one minute we are great, the next we are brutal...that is just the nature of the beast in football. Is it ok for some to think we don't look sharp? of course it is...is it ok for others to think were gonna win state? sure thing!! its what makes football in TX the best in the world. Every day, every game can give us the complete emotional high and the gut wrenching emotional low...Personally I kinda had both of them at the Ned game. Sure we won and we are 5-0 & more importantly 2-0 in district, but man....we had some issues at times, poor clock mgmt, silly penalties, and some iffy play calling in moments.......BUT.....don't get me wrong, I am 1 Million percent excited in the direction we are going and the trails the new blood has made....I just hope we stay focused, don't get too cocky due to the hype of being undefeated and continue to represent PN-G w/ class as always!!! its ok for everyone to be different & up & down about the team...it just means the PASSION & PRIDE that is being a true INDIAN is alive & well....

Football season truly is my favorite time of the year...SCALP EM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
