Best LB since Logan Lejuene. His intensity and desire will be difficult to replace next year.
I agree...#3 was active, instinctive, and he would drop the hammer on the ball carrier. Big heart and he was never afraid to stick his helmet right in the earhole of the ball carrier. #3, #6, and #16 made a solid LB core. In the playoffs, all three of those players were tackling machines. Running down the ball and making big plays. It will be difficult to replace those young men. Big shoes to fill at the LB level next year. Those three guys set the bar pretty high...go back and watch the FBM, LH, and SOC games. PN-G LBs were playing big boy football. Go Indians.

Best linebacker in years. Small in stature but fast, quick, sure tackler, strong and hard nosed. Could have probably been the best running back on the team too if needed. All-State caliber player.

When I was there we had so many PNG alumni it was wild
Honestly partially because of the representation of the youth ministers being alumni at the various Baptist churches and past students all over the GT
To me if you’re a “small town” type of person like I was it’s perfect
Way bigger now and way more facilities
Marshall : capitol of the western confederacy after Vicksburg fell
Jefferson Davis has visited the courthouse
Law on the books even when I was there - Dancing was illegal in the town square lol
Even if you’re not Baptist pick the church that the most administrators and professors attend (especially the evening service)
I suggest go to FBC Marshall in the morning Central in the evening (if things are similar to when I was there (I bet they are)
Find out where the President is a member and attend there at least once a month (just trust me you never know when this might benefit you) also find out where the high up administrators attend
I suggest pick two Baptist churches and be visible there
Sounds wacky but it saved my butt a few times lol. Also, congregation families take students under their wing nothing like a home cooked meal break from the cafeteria.
Summary: it’s literally a Baptist town so even if you’re Methodist - become a Baptist for 4 years lol
Also home of Wiley College who famously debated USC debate team depicted in the movie (can’t remember the name) and Previously HBC Bishop College. So it’s sort of two towns in one.
I’ll save y’all my other Marshall Tx survival skills for now haha.
