I've heard something about the last play being controversial. Someone please fill me in.

Ned player touched the ground 2 yards out. If Hooks was there would have been overturned!

I agree, but if Hooks would have been there it would not have been that close.

I was at the game sitting on about the 35 yard line. The play you are probably speaking of wasn't the last play of the game, but it was pretty darn close. Ned threw a pass down the sideline and it looked as if the receiver was out of bounds when he made the catch. The replay showed that he was probably out of bounds on the catch and the WOS fans erupted in disgust. Ned then scored a TD right after that call. However, on a similar pass play just 2 plays before that, the Ned receiver got tackled by the corner while the ball was in the air. Corner never turned his head to play the ball. He just laid out the receiver. CLEAR pass interference but no flag. If the call would have been correct and flag thrown, Ned would have been inside the 10 and there would have been no controversy on the out of bounds pass.

If you go to ch.12 sports videos, you'll see the play I think in question. On the 2 pt. conv., the Ned player's knee is clearly on the ground before he crosses the line, however, with the angle of the camera, you can't tell if the ball was across the line before the knee went down. Check it out.

Talked to Bob West saturday morning and he said they looked at the replay and he didn't make it....but oh well...Congrats to Nederland
