Ned picked up a big win yesterday. I guess 22-5a isn't as weak as those west of the Trinity like to think.

No point in listening to those blowhard, know it all type of fans.

Rational people know that winning is cyclical and that every program will have it's ups and downs. We also know that those are 15-17 year old kids on that field and that no team is invincible. A deep playoff run requires the right combination of talent, preparation, coaching, luck, and fair officiating.

So to the Crosby and 21-5A fans of the world, enjoy you success while you can for what it is. And realize a good team in 2015 doesn't make you the center of the football universe. You'll be down looking up at some point again.

And while the discussion is 21-5A and 22-5A, Crosby and Nederland have some recent common opponents.

Games are all about match-ups, but here's some interesting speculation. And forget early season results, first game teams versus late season teams are different animals.

New Caney played Crosby relatively evenly in week 8. Nederland smoked New Caney in week 11.

Nederland and Crosby played Lumberton back to back the past 2 weeks, with Nederland arguably having the more convincing win in that comparison.

And I like a mistake free PN-G team's chances against any team that Nederland can hang with.

Mid-County is playing some good football.
