I guess I will get it started......
I have three cousins who attended NISD. Two are now teachers there. This is a story told to me by them.

They either taught the class our were students in the class Ill try and verify later for you guys.
The kindergarten class came in the first day of school. The teacher introduced herself and asked the class to pull out their crayons from their backpacks. She then directed them to remove their purple crayons and walk to the trash and break them and throw them away. This was the first acts as Nederland students. Their is my first story. Please share yours!!!!!

Now that's obsessive right there. Maybe being the first day of school explains why she let them keep the white crayons. ;D

Just being a fan and a player in the 90's was a fun time for MCM. The games were always back and forth, and the wins vs losses during the 90's were pretty even (I think we led 6-4).

Watching us win at Nederland in '96 during the pouring rain was awesome. We put all the Troy Sumrall talk to sleep that night.

Winning the last 2 games of the 90's was the icing on the cake.

Of course, the biggie is when my classmate, Kyle Aguillard pushed off of the Nerdland receiver to catch the winning TD pass........... :thud:

Decades later I can still hear Nederland players, junior high through high school, barking and growling during the games. Maybe that was a select, overly dedicated few, but it did happen. ;D

Sometime in the 1980's I believe the very late 80's the Indian students would tie pound puppies in nooses and drive back and forth in front of Nederland high school. The Bulldog students would throw eggs at the Indian students. He said even Nederland faculty would be throwing eggs.....LOL This was back in the Ron McGill and Bryan Bost days.

No faculty throwing anything, just students. It got pretty bad during that time I think someone's windshield was broken from stuff getting thrown. And the totem pole getting cut down all the time. :) I was there during those years.

Unfortunately, in 1984 I was a senior and we lost to Nederland for the first time in 20 years. It still stings to this day...

Did you hear the one about the game in 2016? PN-G won 41-21. That's my Mid-County Madness story and I'm sticking to it...at least until 2017.

Go Indians. Peace.
