Size is a good thing, but are they strong, quick and mean! :flaming: I'll take the last 3 over the first.

We haven't had anyone mean since DJ Schiexneider!! Very soft the past several years. Lejune is about the only one on defense who isn't afraid to lay the wood, but need more than him.

D-Line Valentine, Langston, Morris
Maybe Hauck, McDonald and A kid who's last name with a S? On the OL.

Defense a kid named Brown- maybe and the younger Schults? You are right about Lejune I wish they would put him in more of a game changing position, Inside LB or even running back. I think they are short changing his ability, IMO

We need to instill the system so It doesn't matter who is there, like WOS. They win every year with different kids, coaches, no facilities, no money and the 1st new jerseys this year since 1988.

That is the key ---- the system.

There you go, thanks Tribe.

Looks like 8 Sr on offense and about the same on D.

Should be the year. Any news on asst. coach moves? Are there any left from Fairclothes super successful 1st year?

Tribe you left out Morris on the DLine. He was a Soph last year. Played a lot. Could move to LB this year. Big and has speed to do well at ILB.

Yea I know. Not sure what they are going to do with Morris. He's a great player. I'm thinking he will either stay on the D line, or move to the Offensive side of the ball. I heard he played both ways at Breckenridge. I liked how they swapped him and Valentine out last year. I would like to see us in some 4 man fronts more often to get him and Valentine on the field at the same time and to improve the run D. I know the comment was made that some players could move positions. They could also move Hauk to RT if need be and fill the guard position with Moran or Morris. Looking forward to seeing how the pieces come together. I really like the passion and fire that coach Medlock has with his O-Line. I'm confident they will have the right guys in there.

I'd like to see Hauk on the DL. Kid has that nasty football disposition thats well suited for that side of the ball.

Agree, also think #23 would help on offense. He seems to be a game changer.

See where Latiolais and Windfield(left a couple of years age) are on the Bridge City HC list. (Huddle.com)

What did Latiolais coach?

Per the PN-G game program [Baytown Lee v. PN-G, September 26, 2014]:

Toby Latiolais coached the DL. He is a native of Bridge City and he played HS football for the Cardinals. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Harvard and completed his master's degree from Lamar. He is married and has 2 children.

I can't blame him for wanting to move up in the coaching ranks and to do it while having an opportunity to return home at Bridge City. If BC doesn't give him a shot, then he can continue with PN-G. There is nothing wrong with having ambitious assistant coaches who want to take a shot at being a head coach. That is better than having lifers who are going through the motions; or, worse, having coaches who were PN-G grads that never played football yet they are trying to coach the Indians. I'll take young and aggressive coaches. Nothing wrong with mixing in new blood every so often. I hope he gets a shot at BC. If not, welcome back to The Reservation. Get ready for 2015...it should be a good great season.

Go Indians. Peace.

2015 PN-G Indians:

Offense
QB - Adam Morse
RB - Cody Cropper and/or Jace Runnels
WR - Keynel McZeal
WR - Cole Girouard
WR - Jack Giblin
WR - Caisen Sullivan
OL - Jim Hauck
OL - Kyle Ardoin[/b]
OL - Kolby Stueber
OL - Tyler Moran...played some in 2014 before an injury?
OL - Need someone from JV...we are losing a good Center in Benoit.

Depth on the OL...we need 3 or 4 kids from the FROSH or JV to rotate in.

Defense
DE - Nick Valentine
DE - Christian Langston
DT - Luke Morris
LB - Anthony Anniboli
LB - Trey Rembert
LB -
LB -
CB - Logan LeJeune
CB - Bryce Meche
SS -
FS -

Looks like open competition for several spots on the defense. Plus, we need to develop depth on defense to overcome injuries.

Special Teams
K -
P -
KR -
PR -

Open competition on special teams. The kids that play ST are starters. They start on special teams. Take pride in it and have the best KO coverage team in district.

Please do away with the pooch kick. Kick it deep, squib kick it, or kick it out of bounds. Do not pooch it and give teams a starting point at midfield.

Go Indians. Peace.

Agree, Latiolais would be foolish not to go back to his home town.

Long time asst. like Thompson at WOS
Johnson at Newton
Spell at Nederland
Are few and far between. I don't know the younger coaches but a lot I knew played at PNG and were good. Burnett being among the best along with Davis, Nunez, Bergeron, Esquivel, Schexnider?, Owens etc... up to Lejune who was at the MS 10 years or so back.

I am sure there are some who didn't excell at Football

Interesting topic of discussion. Now I'm trying to remember others who were former players.

Coach Cole, who coached at the high school and junior high level, played for PNG back in the 60s.
