18 year old Vidor senior football player Matt Thomas was struck by a train this morning in Vidor, where he passed away. Asking Indian nation to say a special prayer for the family. May God Bless this family and see them through this very dificult time.

This is a another tragic event for Southeast Texas. Our family has been praying for the family, friends and community of this young man. I truly hope that all are guided and given peace and that they find comfort in each other in this terrible tragedy.

With all the recent tragedies I know I have been reminding my kids to be safe and pay attention to what is going on around them. I tell them I love them every time I talk to them. A blink of an eye is what I have been reminding them and that life is a gift and to use it wisely and appreciate what you have and appreciate all the people in your life.
