"Port Neches-Groves announced drastic changes Tuesday for the Mid-County Madness game for fans and season ticket holders. Tickets will be limited to families of the football team, drill team, cheerleaders, twirlers and students for this year’s rivalry game.

According to an email sent out to season ticket holders, all other Mid-County Madness tickets purchased online in advance have been revoked.

Other guidelines that will change the experience at PN-G home games include open seating for season ticket holders in sections B, C, D, E and F to allow for the appropriate amount of space for physical distancing. Typically, those sections are reserved for the PN-G band and drill team, but, for this season, an extra stand will be placed behind the end zone to free up space on the home side stands, PN-G Principal Scott Ryan said."

Strange times. I'm thankful that the leaders of PN-GISD are giving the students their best shot to have football and volleyball seasons. I'm thankful that PN-GISD will spend the resources necessary to live stream games for all of the PN-G alumni and fans. These strange times reveal over and over again that PN-GISD is a leader, not a follower. PN-G has 100 years of Honor, Pride, and Tradition. Those core values make leaders, not followers.

Go INDIANS! Peace.
