The PN-G Indians will look to continue a rebound from their lone district loss to Crosby.

With several injuries on the offensive and defensive lines, and with the running back position down to a single sophomore, underclassmen have had opportunity to step up and contribute.

10 juniors, 6 sophomores and 1 freshman are either starting or seeing significant playing time. The phrase 'Next Man Up' has seldom if ever been more true than in 2019. Kudos to the team and coaches for making the adjustments and improving each week.

Do we have an injury report of anybody that will be coming back this week or anytime soon?

Not aware of injury reports being released by any high school coaches or teams. That typically comes out during media interviews if at all.
All the injury discussions here are based on public knowledge. Players being injured in the previous game or seeing players not suited up for games or not participating. Hopefully that improves for the last 2 district games.

NDNs will roll in this one.

I hope the Indians roll to a W. Will PN-G have any injured kids returning to the field? Are the Indians still down to one or two healthy RBs? I hope we get healthy soon. Thanks for sharing info.

Go Indians. Peace.

Injuries have definitely taken it's toll on the Indians this year. Today's game should be a win, but will we be able to adjust for the remaining two BIG games?

That remains to be seen.

SANTA FE – The Port Neches-Groves Indians did what they needed to do to maintain their share of second place in Division 12-5A-II as they defeated the host Santa Fe Indians 20-7 in blustery conditions on Friday night.
With temperatures hovering in the low 50s with a steady wind of close to 20 mph, PNG used a solid ground game combined with a stifling defense to improve to 6-2 overall and 4-1 in the district, one game behind front-running Barbers Hill. Meanwhile, Santa Fe plummeted to 1-7 overall and 0-5 in division play.
