Just wanted to give you guys an update on how our games went yesterday. We won our first game against Ned White, but sadly :'( we lost our final game against WOS, but those little guys NEVER gave up. They were being stepped on, knocked down, and smacked around, but they never, never quit! Really, they should have won that game, but just like with our varsity boys, we had to battle the stripes, it was rediculous! We had both touchdowns called back for penalties that usually get looked over for kids at this level, unless it's just too obvious, and a 20 yard run that was CLEARLY a first down and they spot the ball 2 yards back!! Now, they certainly didn't see the tackling, and when the littlest kid on our team got stiff armed in the mouth, of course not! Another thing that should have never been allowed was that they had on dark blue pants with dark blue flags, our kids simply couldn't see their flags!! :nono: Not trying to be a sore loser, just really getting tired of the refs sticking it to PN-G and ignoring MAJOR infractions by the other teams, and this is happening at all levels! To top it off my husband and I were trying to be good sports and congratulated a coach from the WOS team and although he was nice, he had to point out that his kids were so excited to get to play on our field, and that they had 3 teams from WOS in the Superbowl next Sat!! Way to rub it in coach, of course my husband politely pointed out that they should enjoy it because it will probably be the ONLY time they will set foot on it ;) Oh, and whoever thought it was a good idea to have 5,6, and 7 year old kids playing football on Halloween night needs to have their head examined! By the time we got back into town it was 9 and I think we found 3 or 4 houses that still had candy!

Ok, sorry, just had to get that off my chest, and in usual PN-G fashion our boys, coaches, and parents held their heads high and accepted their loss with dignity and pride!
