Whats the deal with the Jumbotron??? We spent all this money for it and all we do is show instant replays which I think it great, but why not utilize it more?? I also thought Wade Phillips recorded a video that was suppose to be played??

I agree Proud, the boys of fall video gives me chills every time I watch it. I asked Mitch about it and he said another person handles the jumbotron. I cant remember her name, but that would really pump up the crowd!!! Yea I also had heard that Coach Phillips would have a video???????????????????????

I noticed several kids (not coaches children) on the highlight film, on the sideline during the game. My nephew (GMS) would love to be on the sideline, does anyone know how to go about arranging having other non-employee young students on the sidelines..Do you go to the Board are the High School principal??

Just curious if is a goodole boy thing from the past or will all taxpaying citizens kids have equal opportunity??

NDN81 what do you think as a Board Member?

"Wow" is right.

I believe the kids you are referring to are all attached to one of the coaches in some way. Whether it is a coaches child or grandchild or nephew etc. I really am having a hard time understanding why you would want to stir something up over that. You mentioned a "good old boy" thing from the past. Well this is a new coaching staff with little to no connections beyond last year at PNG or the folks from this area. Now maybe you are one of those that aren't happy with the coaching staff changes and the new era of winning they brought with them. So you are just looking for something, anything to stir the pot. All you could possibly hope for with this is to have those kids removed from the sidelines. So WOW, you would get to singlehandidly ruin some kid's Friday nights. If you were truly interested in getting your kid on the sidelines there certainly may be a way to accomplish that, I don't know. But coming onto this public forum and attempting to dip somebody in the grease aint it!

Well said Big Chief..Most of the kids are coaches sons or somehow related to the staff. These coaches sacrifice a lot of time away from their kids during football season and I am sure that this is a special time for them and their sons. I would never want to take that from them. Being a taxpayer doesn't give anyone a RIGHT to be on the sidelines on Friday nights. I would love to be on the sideline and see all the action and watch our coaches interact with the players and make in game adjustments.....But that is not my place as a taxpayer or fan. Also, this would be a HUGE Pandora's box to open. How would kids be chosen from week to week? How can you guarantee their behavior? If they do get out of line, will someone run to the school board and complain that one of the coaches fussed at their "little angel". What are the insurance implications? These are just some off the top of my head, I am sure there are dozens of other issues. Also, the kids that are ballboys have to know what they are doing. The refs don't cut them any slack...when they need to change out a ball, they want the ballboys to be on top of their job. WOW is right!

Having a lot of kids on the sidelines would be a liability and a distraction.

That's one of the perks of being a coach, and a decision and responsibility involving their own kids.

Sorry 'bark'. I'd have to agree with the other posts here. There were few, if any kids on the sideline when I played. I've seen coaches knees get taken out on the sideline, I don't think that would be a safe think to do for the general public. I don't think just anyone should be allowed on the field if they aren't tied to the coaches somehow. JMO.

I agree with the majority on this topic. I think that the coaches have earned the right to have their sons, nephews, cousins ,or friends on the sidelines. In most instances they are serving as ball-boys or helping in some way. Good for them and we don't all get to have the same oppurtunities just because we pay taxes. That's just a small perk for all of the hard work and hours put in by the coaches.
