Anyone here know anything about our next opponent?

Only thing I can find is that they were state champs in 2011, and this week they lost to Whitehouse (ranked #10 by DC) 54-42. Oh, and they're bulldogs. :helmet:

I have been told that they are just like playing ourselves. They run the same offense and defense that we do. Good thing is we will be the home team and there colors purple and white. We will be playing on a brand new turf football field with purple end zones.

gotta think we will win and win big. anyone know if we went down in rating (were #19) after WOS O. noticed they went up to #2 - maybe? all I know is our kids looked really good last week - just got "out athleted" by 4 or 5 of their guys. Speed and height will be our downfall. IMO

FUNNY, I read The Record newspaper from Orange and a big article about the PNG/WOS game and the 5 bad penalties and the 2 calls that were awful against WOS.

go figure!

:cheesy:I wish we could have some chartered buses to go to the game.
we are making a weekend out of it. Crown Colony Sat. and Sun. In light of this weeks game results, have to think this will be a year for a deep run.

I am ready it has been WAY TO LONG. 15 years since Burnett and Long State Game -- 39 years since the last State Champ.

:woohoo:

Tyler Chapel Hill is 1 and 2 to start the season. Their record and scores as posted below

Lindale 21 TCH 17
Whitehouse 51 TCH 41
TCH 52 Paris 42

They run a very similar offense to PN-G. Their defense has gave up a bunch this season so I would assume PN-G will be able to put up some numbers on them. They have give up a bunch of yards so far.

Not sure about the height comment. Unless your refering to the DBs? The offense is tall.
DBs make up for lack of height with solid technique and some aggressiveness.

I'm not sure either, I think we are taller than usual, and as for speed, to me this is one of the faster teams as for as overall team speed I've seen in a while. Secondly, I'm not looking into what will be our downfall. I'm staying positive!

I guess I was referring to our overall height and speed. You are correct this is one of the fastest teams we have had. And our db's are as good as there are in any district, with the exception of WOS -- but not many teams have the athletes they have.

This is a super talented group -- no question about it.

:woohoo:

Looking on Chapel Hill's schedule, I see that they scrimmaged Crandall. I believe that is where Coach Cary is the new head coach. I sure hope Coach Cary shared some insight with his good friend, Coach Faircloth. Good luck to the Indians! Should be a great game!

TCH did scrimmage Crandall. Its my understanding that TCH handled Crandall pretty well. However, it was Crandall's first scrimmage under a completely new system with an entirely new coaching staff. I'm sure we will get a few pointers.
