Pray for our old coach, please!

For those who played for Coach Troy and those who knew him well, just thought I'd pass along this request for prayers. I was told that he is in the hospital after having a stroke. I can't say this is for sure, but I believe my source and it won't hurt to pray for him regardless. He is such a nice man and the players who played for him all loved him. He was tough but fair. Hang in there, Coach Troy!!

I can truly say he loved everyone of "his guys"

I was in the Hospital pretty much on my death bed with little chance of surviving and he went out of his way to visit me in the hospital AFTER I graduated. He had nothing to gain and I was not a star player by any means. He did it because he really cared about us.

I really can't say enough about him - you just had to be one of his OL to understand the impact he had on us as young men. More than football he , well I can't put it into words

My opinion is Troy and PJ Granger are what PNG is about.
He took a lot of flak as head coach and it hurt him to the core. We became friends and still are 36 years later. Unless you were there - you just can't understand - HELL OF A MAN

You know I understand because I prayed for you many, many times, too! If you hear how Coach Troy is doing, please post it on here. I will continue to pray for him.

I think he is out of the hospital. I have family that live by him and they are going to check. I know the guy who told me defenitly knows, he went into detail what happened. He travels Mon-Fri. I will see him Sunday and ask.

Hopefully not too bad. We have to remember he graduated Beaumont High '60 - that puts him about 68/69 - they won the state baseball title that year and he went to Kentucky.

Really, without getting corny he is one fine man.

Talked to Ms. Bobbie and one of his girls. Butch is 71. He did have a slight stroke, but he is better and will be going thru some therapy. As Bark said, One Hell of a Man.
