PNG had their first Spring practice yesterday. Full pads. Team looked good. D was on mark and the O line did very well. Defense executed very well. Impressed with their pressure and pursuit. Secondary is very good. I was surprised at the size we have out there on the O line. 3 returners and the other 2 are very good size boys. Running backs are very very quick and fast. Very explosive thru the gaps and to the outside. Several receivers to throw to again this year with great hands. 3 of which are tall, around 6'2"-4". The others have great hands as well. AJ was on the mark for most passes yesterday. Stayed in the pocket and picked best route and receiver. Back up QB has a great arm as well. Reminds me of Miller. He can tuck and run when he has too. Very fast. Team looked very good and solid. Now I'm biased, but others may see differently. Team worked hard yesterday morning. We were missing a few key players due to minor injuries from other sports. Overall good looking group of boys out there. Very balanced on both sides of the ball.

66 how is practice going?? I was able to watch about 15 mins of practice last week, but that was it. Can you give anymore details?

Going well. We have several starters out due to injuries. Some out due to baseball. Bright side is that the replacements are getting great reps and experience. Some are very good. Looks like good back up on both sides of the ball. AJ has a great arm. Gotta love that. Some very very fast and sure handed receivers.

Spring ball has taken some toll on players and injuries. These boys are out there hitting extremely hard during practice and playing like its a Friday night game. My son, nose guard is out for the Spring as of Tuesday this week. He has a shoulder injury that is going to require ortho surgery next Wednesday. It is from power lifting. Also Mangini the older one has had a hamstring injury that has prevented him from practicing. The center injured his ankle during practice and another D lineman tore his MCL. He is out for 3-4 months. My son will be back up and going in a month and will be ready for next season. My son and Mangini, older one, are going to be 2 of the big boys on the D line. The other D lineman is super fast and very aggressive as well. Looks like we will have a very solid D next season. They have Peveto working at inside linebacker.

I would think the 3 coaches at the high school would be Parker, Wingfield, and Cox.
