Kinda quiet on here lately. anyone know when they start Spring ball ? My son doesn't even know yet. He told me he heard they may be getting equipment issued at the end of this week or the day they come back from Spring Break. Also they have moved several JV players into the Varsity locker room.
I'm just ready to go watch some practices and see what we have for next year.

From the looks of it the boys are all getting alot stronger. Speed ? good question. I know I see some of the boys around the house and they are all filling out and bulking up !

Do we know the name of the new QB that transfer from West Brook? All I heard is that he will be a senior. Thanks

Yeah they have some big boys over there. We have numerous boys who bench over 300 and squat nearly 600. I think we will be in the mix of it all next season. Determination is a big factor for our team. They have been in the playoffs for 3 years straight. They want to keep that Tradition going. Our boys have been working super hard and have not let up at all. The off season workouts got more intense every other month. I guess we get to see what we have going on with the start of Spring ball. Will be very interesting to see who they move around and who gets the majority of playing time. Lots of talent available for the coaches to pick from. I look for a better season next year.

Nederland has always had more tall/big kids. Not sure if there is something in the water or the puppy biscuits they feed them when they're little. ;D

Went out and watched practice this afternoon. Very impressed with both quarterbacks. We have some huge linemen. Seemed to be a large no. of players out there, I would be interested to know how many we have out for football, and if our numbers are up or down. There was a lot of energy and enthusiasm by all of the players and coaches. Looking forward to the Spring game.

The JV stays after their practice to be the scout team for the Varsity. I think they are having all the JV players practice in technique drills with the varsity.

I think several of the freshmen practice after school with the sophomores, juniors and seniors to be. Saturday I heard the coaches telling the boys that all positions were open and must be earned so I don't think we really have a JV and varsity as of yet. I'm sure our coaches will know at the end of spring training.

We lost another great coach. Coach Wingfield is headed to Mabank as the new ad/hd coach. Wishing him the best of luck. Thanks for all your hard work.

I don't think so. The coaches that have left are moving into higher coaching positions. Having PNG on your resume gets attention. Coach BF will bring in just as talented and gifted coaches as those that have moved on to bigger positions. I wouldn't look at it as a sign.
