The PNG Athletic Department would like to honor the 1953, 1955, and 1975 PNG Indians State Championship Football Teams on the reservation. The plan is for each team to have a 3’x4’ plaque dedicated to its championship title that will be displayed on the “Wall of Champions” inside Indian Stadium. The plaque will showcase the names of all the team players, coaches, managers, and trainers. Each plaque will cost $5,000, therefore we are asking everyone for help in honoring these three great teams.

The 1953 team has already been sponsored, but we are still looking for assistance with the 1955 and 1975 teams. For sponsoring a plaque, your name will be listed on the bottom of the plaque for your generosity.

Please make checks payable to “PN-GISD” and mail to PNG High School, Attn: Athletics, 1401 Merriman, Port Neches, TX 77651.

For more information, call the athletic office at 409-729-7644 ext. 123. With the current summer hours, your call may not be returned right away, but you can leave a message and your call will be returned as soon as possible.

Maybe the Booster Club could send something in their membership letters or announce it at the monthly meetings, web site etc...

How much has been raised for the indoor facility to date?

If a BC Board member could post, that would be great!

Once again, the thing that makes PN-G so special, the people are comming through for the school. I think this is fantastic and I will send a money order soon. People always stand up for this school ie. the flags that were bought, the song that was written and recorded, and these plaques. Much more than I can think of. Oh yea the wooden lockers.

PN-G INDIANS FOOTBALL

I could not be more proud of our team and our community. The spirit here is unmatched! I am so lucky to be a part of it and to wear the purple and white! The journey of this football season, with these coaches and our players, will stay with me forever.  -- PN-G Head Coach Jeff Joseph
