So any word on if we're going to do the streamers and signs along the bus route? I'm gonna try and find out the route for sure at the BC meeting.

Okay - a group of us are asking everyone to commit to a sign and some streamers on Merriman from Jack in the Box to the High School. Both sides. If we get them out Friday afternoon the kids can enjoy them before the 6:00 p.m. pep rally at the high school. We can leave them until Saturday so they are there until the kids leave for the game.

We're trying to get anything - the plastic table covers, ribbon, crepe, laminated or saranwrapped signs, - that won't melt in the rain or fog. We need everyone to pour it on and make it a blizzard of purple and white down the street. Cover the phone poles, street sign poles, trees, fence posts, fences, etc. The trees in front of the school and baseball park - both sides of the street.

A couple of home owners are going to do their houses so we just need to get the word out. We can do this! Can everyone post there ideas on contacting people? Our concern is everyone will think others will take care of it and then no one will actually participate!

Sounds GREAT to me!! I'm going to mention it at the BC meeting tonight. Another good way to get the word out is Facebook...we could post something on this sites FB also. Now my daughter is an NDNette and she told me the buses go down PN Ave. I'm gonna find out the route for sure at BC meeting too.

My only concern is getting it torn up though. In Midcounty Madness those great wooden signs were destroyed. At least if we do it on Merriman prior to the pep rally we would have police up and down the street all night. What do you think?

Ok, just got home from the BC meeting and coach said he will have the buses go down Merriman Saturday. He said they usually take Park to Magnolia then to 73, but I told him what we were planning and he said he would have the bus drivers go out Merriman instead of Park! YAY for Coach Faircloth!! So if everyone wants to meet up Friday afternoon to decorate I'm in! Maybe 1 or 2 would be a good time to get it done in time for the pep rally, depending on how many we have helping. So everyone come to Merriman after all your black Friday shopping and we'll have a PURPLE FRIDAY for the INDIANS!!
