The large PNG football flags.....

I was at the game last night in Baytown.

The flags are looking very worn! Any chance we could get some organization on this website to create a "fund" to replace the flags? I would love to see P N G I N D I A N S making the sidelines after each score! Anyone with info - please post. I am more than willing to make a donation.

ALSO..... Could the flag carriers please not place the flags down on the track before the end of the fight song??? In years past - it was always a great sight to see the P N G flags waving during the "I-N-D-I-A-N-S...scalp em Indians, scalp em!" part of the fight song. I realize that scoring 47 points creates a lot of extra pressure running the sidelines with those heavy flags - but more than one time last night I saw a quick pass and the flags were laid on the track before the completion of the fight song. Not a criticism - just a suggestion.

I'll call a few flag places and ask for a quote. If I remember correctly, I think the three PN-G flags were ~ $1500 to ~$2000. We raised the money here at www.pngindians.com and turned it over to the ISD who then purchased the flags.

Go Indians. Peace.

That sounds pretty steep for flags. Don't we have just 3 flags now ? P. N.G ? I think if you check with Grafetti's Ink (SP) I bet they can get some for cheaper and same quality.

The ~$2K raised was for the misting fan which I don't even know if it's used.

I think the flags were more like a few hundred bucks total, which was also raised here.

BF didn't use the fans, until last yr. I'm not sure if he used them this yr. or not. I was glad to see him use them last yr. tho.

Thank you for the referral. I called Graffiteez Ink, 5120 Twin City Highway, Groves, Texas 77619 at tel. (409) 548-4568. The young lady there was very nice and helpful. She will work up a quote and call me back. Quote for two different scenarios:

PNG $$$ 3-separate flags

PNG INDIANS $$$ 10 separate flags

When I get the quotes, I will post them here at www.pngindians.com (message board) and the members, visitors, fans, etc. who stop by can say yea or nay on what items to purchase and how much money needs to be raised.

The end.

Go Indians. Peace.

Or we could have the PNG on 3 flags and Indian on one flag.

10 kids running down the sidelines with flags....that's a lot.

Very true...10 kids on the track with cheerleaders, the Indian Spirit, and others...that is a lot of warm bodies in one spot. I'll add your suggestion to the quote list. P N G on 3 separate flags and the word INDIANS on 1 flag. Good idea. Thanks.

Go Indians. Peace.

And if the P N G I take off and N D I A N S lag behind...what a mess ;D

Sometimes its like that with just the 3 of them..lol

Another option would be to do the "P" "N" "G" and then on a 4th flag have the Indian head logo, instead of "Indians" spelled out.... just a thought

Graffiteez is working on a quote. It may be next week before a quote is ready. The group at Graffiteez is looking for a strong, weather-durable flag material before they give me a quote. I told them no rush and I would check back next week. Very nice people at Graffiteez. Thanks.

Go Indians. Peace.

does anyone know what is on the agenda for the SB meeting??

great article in both papers today. PN is on the front page of the PA snooze and PNG on the front page of the PA and BE sports section.

unselfish play by Murdock and Walker to sacrifice the limelight of offense and opportunity it presents to contribute to the team on the other side of the ball. speaks well of the character of our student/athletes.

also, the Runnels kid looked great last week. I can see him going to the next level to play.

The Beaumont ISD Stadium has about the same capacity as Bulldog Stadium, and is smaller than The Reservation.

Keep the home stadium dynamics!
