WOSgrad writes: Even as a graduate of West Orange-Stark, I have to admit that the letters that define the best football tradition in SETX are: P,N and G.

SetxFootball says: PNG hands down! This thread should be called "2nd best football tradition in setx cause PNG is 1st"

mytwocents from Vidor writes: I honestly have to agree. Vidor is full of crazy fans and we are die hard but you just can't compete with the fans of PNG. They truly do bleed purple.

No other school in the state has anything on PNG's level of tradition. I've been to several Katy, Cy-Fair and Woodlands games over the past decade. They have more students, bigger bands, more money, and in the case of Katy more success. But they don't compare in the intangibles. PN-G is one of THE iconic football traditions in the state.

I too can atest to this. My wife and I grew up in Beaumont. My wifes family was from down here. We moved here in the mid 90's left for 3 years to Katy, and missed PNG. Our area may not be as nice as the Katy area or alot of stuff do for the kids, but there's something special about our three boys going to PNG schools that hooked us. I wouldn't have it any other way. After all three graduate from PNG, I guess we'll be NDNS by proxy.lol

PN-G INDIANS FOOTBALL

I could not be more proud of our team and our community. The spirit here is unmatched! I am so lucky to be a part of it and to wear the purple and white! The journey of this football season, with these coaches and our players, will stay with me forever.  -- PN-G Head Coach Jeff Joseph
