Due to severe weather concerns, the Freshman and JV scrimmages have been cancelled.

Varsity scrimmage has been moved up to 4:30pm.

The varsity scrimmage was rained out just after it got underway. They’ll play a live half tomorrow at 5 PM instead.

Hoping someone can report back on the 5PM results. Word from yesterday is defense still needs a lot of work.

Hearing PN-G won, 9-6. Field goal was a 46 yarder. Also hearing PN-G would have scored on an interception if returns were allowed.

Much better defense effort today. Lots of enthusiasm on the field. Lcm 1’s scored on a mixture of png 2’s and 3’s. #1 def had one pick, a fumble recovery that was whistled dead because it was the qb running and had a dropped pick that would’ve went the distance for sure. Offense was very bland. More runs than passes.

Nice report chief. Doubtful that Joseph and staff feel the need to show off the passing game or bag of tricks. Pounding the rock has it’s place too.

Good to hear about defense. First exposure of the year to another team is always a transition. They’ll get their game timing and speed adjusted. Hopefully they will calm down and cover their responsibilities a little better. Expect the first quarter or two against Memorial might also be an adjustment.
