Nederland is going to have a very tough time with Barbers Hill. I like Dayton's chances too.

Nederland may be fighting with BH for the #4 spot instead of PNG.

Based on the eyeball test and game results, the district power rankings are lining up like this:

1. Crosby (until proven otherwise)
2. Texas City (looking strong)
3. PN-G (Growing into their potential)
4. Barbers Hill (talented team that can win)
5. Nederland (Not much firepower)
6. Dayton (Still may surprise a team or two making them #5 or #4)
7. Kingwood Park
8. Santa Fe

But anything is possible over 4 weeks.

Pretty much nailed it
I believe TC will beat Crosby but my predictions can be suspect lol

Out of respect I give Crosby and Nederland the benefit of doubt. Will not be surprised if TC beats Crosby and Barbers Hill and Dayton take Nederland down. I think Barbers Hill and Dayton are much better teams than their records indicate.

Also, Nederland should thank their lucky stars that they played PNG early in the schedule. The Indians young offense is improving every week. And there is no way they should have ever been a state ranked team. They are just not that good.

I see our own fans continued doubting this very young team. They have been improving leaps and bounds each week. There is a load of talent on this team. I can't understand why people can't equate the youth of the team with the need to grow as a team. I agree and believe that Nederland was fortunate not to have a late season game with these young Indians

Every fan base doubts their favorite teams. Pro, college, high school and youth leagues. It’s what fans do. Sports is an emotional outlet and losing causes frustration. Iv’e seen grown men hurling insults at coaches and refs at their 8-12 year old kids games.

None of us would be much of a football enthusiast either if we didn’t mention ways that the team could perform better. It’s not meant to criticize the individuals personally. It’s more generic and a higher level of discussion. “The team isn’t playing with enthusiasm“, “the line isnt blocking”, “Too many dropped balls”, “the defense can’t tackle”, “No pass coverage”, “No pressure on the QB”, etc, etc. I bet the coaches and players see and work on every one of those critical areas. It is what it is. The game is played in public and it’s not tennis where you watch the round ball go back and forth and ooh and ah. :)Football fans, especially former players are living the game.

Couldn’t agree more
I love all the INDIAN teams and they perform better than what they show on paper CONSISTENTLY if I had free tickets to any other game including Texans (might make an exception if the Astros are in the WS) I’d choose the INDIANS
I’d rather drive 2 hrs and pay for a PNG game than any other team in the world (even if free and in Houston)

Speaking of
“Baby Faircloth” (term used respectfully) has really been coming on nicely made some super clutch catches in the last few games I’ve seen. Crazy seeing him on the sidelines all these years tossing himself footballs in the air now he’s contributing well.
