West Brook Scrimmage

News from the game is mixed. The Indian offense and defense is looking very good against a powerhouse 6A team. Indians down 3-14 but if not for a few bad plays, it's an even match. PN-G offense and defense looking strong against a WB team that would wipe the floor with any 12-5A team.

Bad news... the possibility of a key player being injured.

IndianFan - did you make the scrimmage? If so, can you share some more info on the +/- of the offense and defense? Don't leave me hanging on the injury situation. Key injury on offense? Defense? OL, DL, or a skill position player? Not the QB? Did the scrimmage have game action? Special teams? Do we have a good kicker this season? Thanks for sharing.

Go Indians. Peace.

No. Getting news from prepballfan.

10-14 now. Indians tough. Dbacks blasting WB receivers on a few plays knocking the ball loose.

Also heard that WB QB skipped the red shirt and was running the ball. So that's even more impressive defense by the Indians.

O'line injury.

Bummer on the OL injury. I hope the young man is OK. Maybe it was just a precaution to take him out? Happy to hear about the good showing from the PN-G offense and defense.

Prayers for the injured kids. Good to hear that PN-G competed well against a good team. It should be another great season for the Indians. STAY AWAY INJURY BUG!

I'm anxious to talk PN-G football. I will try to attend two Houston area games this season. The games at Huntsville and at Santa Fe. Has anyone heard an update about the injured OL from the WB scrimmage? The chatter that I heard: (1) PN-G has a solid kicker this season. A SOPH that can kick FGs from 30 - 40 yards out and he kicks it deep on kick-offs. That's a good weapon to have in a close game. (2) The OL is big, but lacks mobility and footwork to consistently pass protect. The run blocking is solid, but the pass protection struggles. (3) PN-G has two solid RBs, a decent core of WRs, but they lack speed on the outside. The slot WR is the go-to guy. On defense, the front seven is good, the DBs need to work on hitting and tackling, and there is no depth on defense. Don't shoot the messenger. I was chatting with a friend who missed the WO-S scrimmage, but he saw the WB scrimmage. I have not seen the team play and it's hard to base anything off of chatter from a scrimmage. That's the info that I have to pass along. If its wrong, don't shoot the messenger. Just some talking points.

Go Indians. Peace.

From what I’ve seen and heard I think we’ll be à Little slow coming outta the gates but by district we will be as good as anyone in our district. I think we will see some great football games this year. Bost will settle in the OL will get better so will the D-fence. I like the slot receiver #12 he will be the go to guy it seems at this point. It’s hard to say watching scrimmage games cause à rythme is hard to Get. Faircloth will use what he has to put a solid team on the field every week. It’s gonna be fun!!
