I've been arguing the case that PN-G has one of the largest fan bases in the state on the 5A board... feel free to chime in!!

I've got Permian, Longview and Lufkin folk agreeing with me but it would be nice to have some local fans opinions.

Odessa's Ratliff stadium capacity is 17,931. According to Coach Faircloth......it's packed on big games. Our record attendance has come in the playoffs.

Also keep in mind that Odessa and Midland both have a population over 90,000 each. And it's a hotbed for football.

With a good program in place, PN-G could hold it's own with Permian in filling 9,000+ seats every game. And we saw in '75 that playoff attendance is stronger at PN-G.

Most area teams never come close to filling the visitors section at Indian Stadium. Nederland and Lumberton have decent sized followings, but max out. In it's most successful season I doubt Nederland has ever seen a crowd more than 10,000 total. Unless you count a PNG-Ned double header or two in the Dome or at Reliant.
