The OL/DL is my biggest concern going into next year. We don’t have a ton of experience returning, and PNG won’t have the size up front that we’ve gotten used to in recent seasons. How is or O and D line gonna look?

The DL will have two or three players coming back. #97, #32, #96, and one or two more that rotated in this season. We will miss #35 at LB--he was a tremendous player. He was fast to the ball, he would hit you, wrap-up, and get you on the ground. How is or O and D line gonna look?
I feel really excited for next year! Mark my words... Ashworth will become a seasoned QB by next season. The young man has the skills to take it to the next level with Tyson Henry beside him. South Oak Cliff, if they are lucky, will face a stout PNG offense as well as defense. No doubt Connor Bailey would have given us the shot to beat this small college recruiting high school that calls themselves the Mecca. But just wait to see what happens next season. I want some love when I am proven right.Indians played their rears off. The defense was stout and the offense was on the verge of getting it done but it just didn’t click. Good game by SOC but a defense anywhere similar to the Indians and a strong offense at full strength will be tough for them to beat.
We'll still have 6-4 280 Ace Reeves. And he has another year to grow. He was pancaking some Bears tonight. The DL will have two or three players coming back. #97, #32, #96, and one or two more that rotated in this season. The OL will have #75 back. We are out of 6'4" and 6'5" 290 lbs. OL kids...unless some kids hit a growth spurt. Jansen Ware, Christian Jackson, and Aaron Wolford spoiled us in 2022-2025.
Lots of talent returning at QB, RB, H-Back, and WR.
Expect Melissa to end SOC season next week. I was pleased with the officiating crew compared to last year’s game.Indians played their rears off. No doubt. Ashworth did all you could reasonably expect of him but you just can’t replace the experience. Fortunately, Ashworth now has experience that will help him greatly next year.Losing Bailey changed the path of this season. Regardless, a tremendous season by a great PNG team.
We would have slowed them down even more if the offense was able to do a better job of keeping them off the field. As good as their defense was we were still able to move the ball pretty well at times but kept shooting ourselves in the foot in one way or another.South Oak Cliff left that field knowing they played a tough opponent. Other than Longview (17), the Indians slowed down their offense better than anyone at 28 points.
Melissa won't beat SOC but Randle will they are the complete package on offense with Landen Williams-Callis at RB and Tyler Skrabanek at QBExpect Melissa to end SOC season next week. I was pleased with the officiating crew compared to last year’s game.
PNG offense put the defense in a hole time after time. Left on the field too long. Defense deserved a 14-10 score not 28-0.
No but PN-G still has some guys in that 250 to 260 range PN-G will be fine next yearThe DL will have two or three players coming back. #97, #32, #96, and one or two more that rotated in this season. He got hammered on 2 or 3 plays and he willed himself up. Tough cookie.Hats off to Ashworth. It’s not easy starting the season as the JV QB and then suddenly getting thrown into the fire to make your first varsity start in the second round of the playoffs. Excited to see how much he grows this offseason.
No question. He did well under monumental pressure (not just during this game but during his time on the varsity as a whole).Hats off to Ashworth. 75 is a warrior. Anything he did paled in comparison to the ongoing antics. Reeves, Henry, Rafa Black all got tired of hearing the jawing on the field. They never backed down from the intimidation efforts. 100% proud of #75 Ace Reeves and what he accomplished this year.Need 75 to calm down a bit… could have been called on things a few times tonight. I get it, it’s the heat of the game but he will be the veteran next year, hoping he learns a little more control. I think the Oline should be good, wondering more in the Dline personally. Depth is already a little shaky, should line up good though, they will figure something out.
Despite what some people seem to want to say and imply on social media, the PN-G, community, fans and the support they bring every week is top notch in the state. And they all know it too.I was there. Great game.
I'm wondering if the turf or field is messed up. We seemed to be stumbling a lot. I think all of the post game analysis here covered it pretty well.
What I really enjoyed was seeing all of the happy and bright faces. A great community. Proud to be an Indian.
