Defense was stellar. Offense is much better in the run. Getting a nice push inside the tackles. I love the QB run game. Deep passes are great. Looking forward to MCM!!

PNG looked very good on BOTH sides of the Ball that deep ball by Gholke to Jackson was VERY impressive and more about Jackson 3 TDS tonight I’d argue he’s our best offensive weapon give him in any sort of space and he’s GONE!

The PN-G OC, OL and defense had their best game of the year. A big round of applause to the OL. It felt like 2022-2025. Everyone in Dayton knew PN-G was going to run the ball and there was very little Dayton could do to stop the PN-G run game. The coaching staff did a great job having our kids focused on Dayton, the Indians were prepared to play well, and they did play well. The only snafus were the opening KO coverage and not recovering Dayton's onside kick to start the second half. We had kids in place to recover the onside kick but we couldn't grab the ball. Sometimes the ball bounces funny. Big shout out to #10 D. Jackson. The jet sweep was awesome and so was the go route in the 3rd quarter. When he turns on the jets, you can fire up Cherokee!!!

Another big round of applause to the defensive staff. DC Matt McDaniel is worth his weight in gold. He kept everything in front of the PN-G defense. Coach Logan Wilson, Blake Austin, Tony Bradley, Ben Lancaster, Josh Miller, Cory Parsons, Kyler Segura, and whoever else I am leaving out, GREAT JOB. The entire defense was well prepared and pitched a shutout. Hitting and tackling have improved. PN-G's last shutout was in 2024 @ West Fork (37-0).

The Houston High School Huddle or whatever, the host asked Stepp if Dayton could keep it close. He thought they could, and in that theoretical where it was close, he mentioned 45-35.

I was most happy with the coaching staff really drilling the run. Henry hit the holes better and it looks like the o-line is starting to make better running lanes. And the quick bootleg-style toss to ashworth is lethal.
